The Afro American flag is the flag used to represent African American identity. It was created in 1990 by artist David Hammons for a "Black USA" exhibition in Amsterdam. Originally done in dyed cotton, this beautiful flag replaced the red, white, and blue of Old Glory- with the black, green, and red of Marcus Garvey's Pan-African flag.
