WW2 Axis

Axis powers in WWII (WW2) where the opposing forces to the Alies. Axis countries of Germany, Italy and Japan are some of the countries in the Axis powers.  The Axis powers were defeated in 1945. 

We have put together some of the historical flags of the era. It is interesting to note the sight of German National Socialist Flags (Nazi) causes an uproar BUT the same flag of the dreaded Japanese forces, the rising sun does not get the same reaction. Why? It should. Ironically it is STILL the Japanese flag.
