Description
The Moldova Flag was adopted on May 12th, 1990. In 1940, the area of land known as Moldivia was forced to Join the Soviet Union and was given the name Moldivian SSR. Moldivia adopted the current flag to show they wanted to be independent. They took the Romania Flag and added the eagle of Walachia and the shield of Moldavia.
