Description
The Philippines Flag was adopted on May 19th, 1898. The red stripe represents courage while the blue stands for patriotism. The large star represents liberty. The three smaller stars symbolize the three major regions, Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao. The white triangle stands for peace. During times of war, the red and blue stripes are swapped.
