he Mexican Empire was a short lived monarchy, and the first independent post-colonial imperial state in Mexico. In 1823 the Mexican Republic followed the empire and this flag was adopted. This flag was part of the Texas Six Flags of Texas history and would have been used while Texas was part of Mexico.
